two more wide shots from the U of Albany’s uptown campus. architecturally the campus has some surprisingly rich heritage. the top image is of the university’s new administration building; I love the fractal reflections of the red maples in full fall color. below is a view of one of e.d. stone’s residential quads. symmetrically arrayed about the academic podium, each houses about 1,250 students; 450 in the quad’s tower, and the rest evenly divided throughout the 3 story dorms that shape each quadrangle.
